Course Objective:

This course will target developing basic 3D modeling skills, focusing on becoming familiar with the fundamentals of 3D modeling, and through a variety of basic modeling assignments, developing a solid understanding of how the software tools are used in practice.

Aspects of both polygonal & NURBS Modeling will be covered, as well as texturing, camera, lighting and rendering.

Through class exercises, the intent is to equip the student with fundamental 3D modeling skills used in various production environments.

 

Grades will be given in these areas:

 
   
1.  Participation as a grade will weigh equally in proportion to other class grades.

2. In-class assignments will be reviewed on a regular basis and a grade will be set on the average of every other week.

3. Progress evaluations will be reviewed on a regular basis and a grade will be set on the average of every other week.

4. Understanding of course content and classroom exercises will also be graded.
