Syllabus: This is a living document and will change according to the needs of the class ICS 261 – Introduction Computer Graphics; Fall 2000, MCC Times – 10:30-11:45, Tuesday & Thursday Instructor: Hans Westman Contact: westman@mauicc.hawaii.edu Tel: (808)984-3324 Course Objective: This course will target the further development of the students' 3D modeling and animation skills. Instruction will strive to help them become as comfortable as possible with the basic modeling tools and to help them develop a "fluid" work-flow/routine as to how the software tools are used for different modeling and animation assignments. Aspects of polygonal & NURBS modeling will be reviewed and further developed, as well as texturing, camera, lighting, animation and dynamics. Through class exercises, the intent is to identify what aspects of the above named tool-sets are still confusing, dispel those blocks and further refine the students' 3D modeling & animation skills. |
